The Asian Pacific American Legal Center (APALC) serves Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities by meeting critical legal needs, litigating on behalf of low-income workers and immigrants, advocating for Asian Americans and NHPIs in local, state and national contexts, and building youth and parent leaders for the future.

As a nonprofit, APALC relies on the financial support of individuals to continue this significant work.  Together, we can help individuals and transform communities.

Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  APALC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  Tax ID # 95-3854152.

You can give a monetary donation in two ways:

Types of Giving

Monthly Giving – Recurring gifts sustain our work throughout the year.  Set up a recurring credit card donation through our online giving site or by calling our office.

Cy Pres Awards –  The doctrine of cy pres, or fluid recovery, allows litigants to request court to distribute unclaimed or undistributed funds in class action settlements and judgements to nonprofit organizations like APALC. Find out how you can help.

Bequests & Estate Planning – You can leave a legacy of social justice by including APALC in your will.  Call our development office to learn more about ways you can build a strong future for AAs and NHPIs through a planned gift.

Matching Gifts – Check to see if your company has a matching gift program and you will be able to extend your gift dollars.  Just fill out your company’s matching gift form and send it to APALC.

Stock Gifts – Consider donating stocks, bonds or mutual funds to APALC.  The total value of the financial instrument is tax-deductible allowing you to avoid capital gains taxes on appreciated stocks.
